If your child is finishing this school year but will not be returning to Daniel K. Inouye Elementary next school year, please complete a form and turn into the office by March 13. Requests received by March 25 will have transfer papers ready for pick up on June 5. If you are unsure of when your child's last day will be, remember we require 2 weeks notice to have release packet ready for pick up on your child's last day of school Students attending Wheeler Middle School next year DO NOT need to turn in form.
Bus Payment Reminder for 4th Quarter
Payment for quarter 4 bus passes are now being accepted in the school's office. Pay by cash or check payable to: Department of Education.
Prices remain at: Round Trip: $72. One way: $36. Coupons: 12:50 per sheet of 10 (cash only). The office will be open through the Spring Break. If you're paying by the quarter , don't forget to bring your student's bus pass so it will be updated.

Leilehua Complex Poster Contest - As an Effective User of Technology, create a poster that shows how to be a Good Digital Citizen.
All words and drawings should show how you are a good digital citizen.
Entries will be judged on: the message & the drawings & attractiveness.
Entries must fit on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper.
Put your name, school and grade level on the back of your paper.

March 14 & 28 Learn to play Dungeons & Dragons at Mililani Public Library from 1:30 - 4pm. During the free lesson, newcomers receive an overview on the tabletop role playing game and receive a ready made character to play with. Experienced participants on the other hand, learn about creating their own characters and get tips on advancing their skills. Playing Dungeons & Dragons is to become a hero in a story - you and your fellow adventurers must work together to finish the quest. Your decisions will influence how the story turns out. Sat. March 14 Ohana Volunteer Day at Waimea Valley from 9am - noon for free. Check in at Waimea Valley Visitors Center. If you’re looking for an outdoor volunteer activity with your kids, Waimea Valley on the North Shore needs people on Saturday morning to help clear invasive plant species and spruce up the rainforest as part of “‘Ohana Volunteer Day,” a special event for families with keiki ages 12 and younger. Only 20 open spaces were available as of Wednesday afternoon, so RSVP soon. If you do go, please equip your kids with snacks, ponchos or rain-resistant jackets, insect repellant and sunscreen, water bottles and closed-toed shoes. You can bring your own gloves or borrow a few pairs. Parking is free, and all volunteers receive free admission to the valley—so bring swimsuits and towels to play in the waterfall! The monthly plant sale will also be going on, so feel free to pick up a few more blooms for your garden. Sun. March 15 Bank of Hawaiʻi Family Sunday at Honolulu Museum of Art from 10am - 2pm. Want to see your children’s names written in Farsi? On Sunday, the Persian New Year, Nowruz, is celebrated at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s monthly program for families. Keiki can listen to traditional folktales and music, decorate spring equinox eggs, plant wheat grass to take home and enter a drawing contest. Tues, March 17 St. Patricks Day Parade in Waikiki starting at noon. Beginning at Ft DeRussy (32 Kalia Road) the Irish celebration travels through Waikiki and features marchers, vehicles, floats and bands. Don your green getups, bring lawn chairs and snacks for the keiki, and claim your family's space along the sidewalk of Kalākaua Avenue. This 90-minute procession begins next to Fort DeRussy Park, travels along Kalākaua Avenue and finishes at the bandstand at Kapiʻolani Park. About 800 participants—ranging from school groups to bagpipes players—are expected to march.
