Welcome back

Welcome back to another great school year!!
Hopefully you received an email about your children's teachers for this year.

Come to the Meet and Greet with your child on Friday July 30 to meet your teachers and bring classroom supplies. 1pm -2pm for last names starting A - K and 2pm - 3pm for last names starting L - Z

July 30 - make sure you stop by the table in front of the office for car pick up tags and PreK and Kindergarten badges.

Kindergarten assessments begin Aug. 3 - 5, please come at your designated time.
All other students start full day of school on August 3.

We start this year similar to how we finished last year. Masks are to be worn by everyone on campus.
At 7:55 all students start moving to class. By 8:05 all students are in class or go to office for tardy slip.
School ends at 2:15 every day except Wednesdays when 1:15 is ending time.

Designated drop off zones and pick up after school remains the same.  Please be specific and consistent with your classroom teacher about how you will pick up your child each day.

Pre School and Kindergarten with a badge from the office, are the only parents allowed to walk their child onto campus and to the classroom (and pick up from classroom)

Every grade level has morning recess on the field with masks.  Only healthy snacks should be brought and eaten. It's a good idea to send your child with a water bottle daily.

We appreciate your support in following our school guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

All students at Hawaiʻi’s 257 public schools will receive free breakfast and lunch meals for the entirety of the 2021-22 school year, thanks to a nationwide waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Federal funds will reimburse state education departments for meal costs.
Everyday the teacher will continue to ask, how many home lunch? and how many school lunch? so that our cafeteria knows how many meals to prepare.

Please apply for free / reduced meals. It may seem odd to apply  this year since all students will receive free breakfast and  lunch. However this same application also:
Provides funds to the school for children who qualify
Can reduce the cost of bus transportation to $0 for those who qualify for free meals.
Provides a discounted rate on some field trips
Can earn the school a Title I designation
