Cereal Box Donation Drive sponsored by 3rd grade. All proceeds are to benefit the Armed Services YMCA Food Pantry. Donations will be accepted from May 5 – 19.  The class with the most donations will receive a class cereal party!  We kindly ask that all donated cereal boxes be regular sized 14 oz boxes.

CYS offers F.I.T. Fun Integrated Training program which offers a comprehensive approach to sports performance training in a fun way. Focuses on core development, balance and proper running mechanics through various drills and games to improve acceleration, deceleration and overall fitness as well as character, sportsmanship and integrity. At Bennett Field 2251 McMahon Road on Schofield, Saturdays May 22 & 29. Cost is $20 per child for 2 day clinic. Child must be CYS registered. Limited to 30 children per session. Haunted Half-Ween at Bay View Golf Course -   Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 22. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the Keiki Hour. 7:30 to 10 p.m. for older kids and adults. Don your neon clothes and spend an evening under the black light at this special event in Kāne‘ohe. The team behind the Haunted Trail at Mari’s Gardens is now decorating the greens at Bay View Mini-Putt. Little kids can play the special 11-hole course starting at 6:30 p.m. (You can see a fast-paced teaser video on its Facebook page.) The scarier effects will come out at 7:30 p.m. for children and adults looking for more of a thrill. There are three time slots every night: Keiki only have an hour while the adult time frames run for an hour and a half.

Ward Villageʻs Emerging Artists Pop-Up Series - 

  • Saturdays, May 15 through May 29. 4 to 6 p.m.  Live concerts are just starting to return slowly, with smaller audiences. Outside at Victoria Ward Park. Haku Collective, the production company started by local artist and mom Kimie Miner, will showcase up-and-coming musicians with a trio of performances. This weekend, ʻukulele artist Micah Ganiron is the headliner. The ʻukulele teacher, who counts Honoko & Azita and Karlie Goya among his students, has performed at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, Disney Cruise Line and at various venues in the islands. Family Sunday at Honolulu Museum of Art - Free admission Sunday, May 16. 

This free admission day at the Honolulu Museum of Art is centered around flowers. Download the hunt to discover scale through the blooms in artwork around the museum. Take a look at the newest installment of the Joyful Return exhibit, the plant-focused Regrow which opens on Saturday, or, if you stay home this weekend, learn how to create paper flowers through the online tutorial.  Museum is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Remember, admission is also free every Friday from 4 to 9 p.m.  900 S. Beretania St.
