Staff Appreciation week is May 3 - 7.  The PTO is providing breakfast on Tuesday and Lunch on Friday to our hard working staff.  We are decorating the lunch room with balloons and Thank you messages.  We invite all students and their parents to create a card of appreciation to our staff. Ideally on an 8 1/2 x 11 paper, since we want to tape them on the walls. We appreciate you taking the time to create something special. Please put them into the PTO box in the office by May 3.

Our Hero Squad LLS fundraiser ends this week. Thank you so much to those students and their families that have generously donated! Make sure to turn in your blue envelope with any money you have collected by tomorrow. Prizes continue to be delivered to classes as students have reached milestones in this program. Mahalo!!!

Next week is the final week of state testing for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. We wish them a lot of luck. There will be music playing at 7:55 so we can dance our way to class. Enjoy and breathe.

Poem in Your Pocket Day! Thursday, April 29
April is National Poetry Month & this Thursday, we celebrate by sharing our favorite poem.  Help your child find a poem they would like to carry in their pocket & read to a friend.  Short poems are the best! You can find poems on the library website.  In library lessons, students learned a poem can be about ANYTHING.  Poems can be like short stories, they can be written in the shape of objects and they can be written by anyone!
