Makerspace Monday: Let it snow! With a few folds & creative cuts, you can make intricate snowflake designs. In the Makerspace, we'll use coffee filters, cupcake holders or paper. What do you have at home that you can use? Wrapping paper? Magazine paper? Post your creations on our Flipgrid so we can see how they turned out. (students log in with their inouye google account OR type the password: dkies2020 https://dkies. weebly.com/makerspace-mondays
"What's New?" Wednesday Webex: Listen to a recording!
Did you hear Ms. Arikawa share her chicken tales? Did you learn about planting seeds from Mr. Russell? Want to know more about birds or paper art? Maybe you have an idea for a kindness rock that you can paint & add to our rock garden! Watch Ms. Hutchinson demonstrate her painting techniques. Scroll through the episodes to find one you missed. Be inspired to observe, learn, create or plant something & share it on the flipgrids posted on the library blog: https://dkies.weebly. com/whats-new-wed-webex. "What's New?" and the password is Dkies2020. Wednesday Webex will resume in January. Tune in to hear a woodwind quintet & to learn how coding can save orca whales!
Make time for Reading! Drive-thru book pick up available!
The holidays are busy & hectic & it's hard to find time for quiet moments. We all need them. Make some memories with your kids & share a holiday craft, game, outdoor activity & read! Snuggle close & share a story. Students are welcome to borrow books over the holiday. Students in school visit the library weekly--encourage your child to choose a book interesting to your family. Students who learn from home can put books on hold & pick them up via a drive-thru. Visit the library website for details: dkies.weebly.com
