Check out what technology your kids are using in school to create, communicate, collaborate & think critically!  Sign in at the flag pole after school,  2:20-3:30 & explore the various tools.  Bring your $ for Kona Ice & $1 for the "When I grow up" yearbook photo.  Hope to see you there!

Be the first to borrow!
Did your kids tell you about the Library Challenge?  Students in grades 2-5 are invited to do a series of information literacy activities to earn tickets they can enter in the "be the first to borrow book raffle." The challenge runs between now & spring break before school at 7:30, during morning recess & after library lessons.  Encourage your kids to participate!

Sat. Feb. 23   Paint & Sip at Schofield Barracks Arts & Crafts at Tropics.  Learn to paint a piece of art on canvas while enjoying your drink. Register at Schofield Arts & Crafts for $35. per person (one wine or tropical drink included. Must be 18 years or older, no exceptions) . Thurs. Feb. 28 .    Teen Vaping - Get the Facts at Leilehua High School Library at 6:30pm.  Parents, students and the community are invited to learn about the dangers of vaping and Hawaii's Drug Laws.  Vaping is the use of an electronic cigarette or other vaping device to inhale vapors from nicotine, marijuana or flavorings. Youth often believe that vaping liquids contain water and flavoring and are unaware that it contains nicotine, leading them to believe that vaping is less dangerous than using other tobacco products.  The amount of nicotine in the liquid can be the same or even more than the amount found in cigarettes.  Get the facts and get your questions answered.  1515 California Ave in Wahiawa, www.leilehua.k12.hi.us
