A message from Mrs. Cummings our Technology Coordinator:
This quarter we have explored being a digital citizen and showing Eagles Pride using technology. Our staff and students have taken the Eagles Technology Pledge:

"I promise to show Eagles Pride when using today's technologies safely and smartly.
This means that I will keep a healthy tech-life balance; I will be SMART on the internet; and I will respect our school's equipment."

We welcome our parents to take the pledge too. Please visit: https://www.dkies.org/apps/form/EaglesTechnologyPledge

Our focus this quarter is to discover how our on-screen and offscreen activities fit into our lives. Here are 5 family tips to Help Kids Balance Their Media Lives for Grades K-5  and a Media Balance & Well Being Family Activity for Grades 3-5

We would like to invite all DKIES families to create and share one poster, promoting the theme Keeping a Healthy Tech-Life Balance. Please submit your poster by December 4th. School posters will be posted on our school website Monday, December 14 and showcased throughout the holiday season.

"What's New?" Wednesday Webex:  Music & Gratitude w/Mr. Wesley November 18, 9:30 am
When you walked on campus last year, you might have heard Mr. Wesley playing his harmonica.  He used to greet us with beautiful little tunes as we arrived at school. This year, he might have visited your class to play his guitar, read a story & talk with you over Webex.  This Wednesday, Mr. Wesley will talk about music & its role in his life.  He'll play for us & he will talk about how we can find gratitude in our lives.  We have lots to be grateful for!  Join us!  https://dkies.weebly.com/whats-new-wed-webex
