April is Month of the Military Child...Let's Purple Up. We can show our military kids that we're thinking of them. Tie a purple ribbon around a tree or on your fence and let's Purple Up our neighborhood. Wheeler Elementary started this idea and you might have seen some purple ribbons appearing. Friday, April 17 we can all wear purple and take some fun family pictures (you can include your pets)
• This is a time to recognize military children and youth for their heroism, character, courage, sacrifices and continued resilience.
• Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military -- a combination of Army Green, Marine Red and Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard Blue.
