End of April

On Friday, April 17, the Department announced that we will continue our distance enrichment and learning through May 28, the last day of the 2019-20 school year.  Since we will not be returning to brick and mortar schooling for the remainder of the year, we are deciding the smoothest way to return student belongings and funds paid.
For questions about bus refunds, please contact clerk Regie Lopez at regie.lopez@k12.hi.us.
Lunch funds will be rolled forward to continuing students at DKIES or any public school in Hawai'i, and be refunded for those leaving the Hawai'i DOE system.
Field trip money will be refunded.  We are working on processing refunds by family versus student by student.Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this new direction.

Gr 2-5 Students!  Lead a Lunchtime Popup from Home!
Want to teach how to make something?  Sign up on the library website to lead a lunchtime popup from home.  Popups will be Mondays & Wednesdays at noon in a Webex.  Once we have student leaders, we'll set a schedule & invite our DKIES community to watch, learn & make!

Have you found a poem for your pocket?
Poem in Your Pocket Day is Thursday, April 30. Find a poem on the library website poetry page & record your poem on the poem flipgrid.  You can write your own too!
