4/11 - 4/19

Help your child find a poem for their pocket!
Thursday, April 18 is international "Poem in your pocket day."  Please help your child find (or write!) a poem.  Sgt. Yano Library and the Hawaii Public Library system will have great books by kids' poets Shel Silverstein, Pat Mora, Jack Prelutsky, Betsy Franco & more.  In library, we learned poems can be about anything!  They can be a description, a little story or even words in the shape of a popsicle! Poems don't have to rhyme.  You and your child can write your own poem to carry on Thursday, April 18!  Here's a poem starter:  "One day..."
