                                   Our library opens its doors Mondays from 2-3 for parents with their child to spend quiet time in the library, reading, building and exploring.

Aug. 18 - 20 .    23rd Annual Made in Hawai'i Festival at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Admission is $6.  10am - 9pm Fri. and Sat and 10 - 5pm Sunday. Festival features more than 400 booths showcasing the products, craftsmanship and creativity of local artisans, entrepreneurs, businesses and more. hawaiifestival.com

Aug. 18 .    Hawai'i Youth Opera Chorus Fall Open Enrollment. UH-Manoa's Music Department at 2411 Dole St. 8:30am for grades 2- 12 and 9:30am for k & 1. This is free tryout, no experience required. Students interested in joining Hawai'i Youth Opera Chorus can participate in a full rehearsal and individual assessment.  byoc.org
