5/4 - 5/11


Stock up on books for summer reading at our Scholastic Spring Book Fair.  The Book Fair opens in the library Friday, May 4 after school & is open daily May 7 – 11 from 7:30-3:00.  Students will visit the book fair with their class and you may meet your child's class at the fair.  Please ask your child's teacher when the class will visit or check this link to the book fair schedule. Payment of cash, credit & debit accepted; monies help buy books & resources for the school.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7 – 11.  You can thank your teacher personally with a gift or note at any time.  The PTO is organizing 3 days of special foods and ask for parent donations to truly thank our teachers and staff.  We are decorating Q207 and ask that all food be brought up there on appropriate days. Monday, May 4 we kick off the week with Breakfast.  Wednesday, May 6 is Lunch for school staff of 100 people. Friday, May 8 will conclude with Sweet Treats, bring your treats early in the day and staff can stop by all day to help themselves.

Thurs May 10           School starts at 7:55 every day – Be in your seat or get tardy slip from office

Fri. May 11               PTO Teacher Appreciation concludes with Sweet Treats. Thanks for all donations

Sat. May 5 .    43rd Annual Spring Craft Fair at Hickam Arts & Crafts Center on 335 Kuntz Ave. Featuring over 120 booths selling original handmade arts and crafts, live entertainment, pony rides, great food, mane-n-takes and demos.  Cal 808-448-9907

Sat. May 5   2018 Flores de Mayo and Filipino Fiesta from 9am – 5pm
Bring your picnic blanket and foldable chairs to Kaka’ako Gateway Park this Saturday for the 26th annual Filipino Fiesta. Free admission but bring Cash for food and beverages. Feast on pancit noodles from Gerry’s Grill, pastries from Red Ribbon, chicharon pork rinds from San Nicolas, and more. Take your kids to the youth area, where they can don native costumes and learn to play “paris paris” and “sungka” games. May 5 & 6 .    Hawai'i Book & Music Festival at Frank Fasi Civic Center for FREE.
