Thank you all very much for your efforts during our Pennies for Patients campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!!!  Though we did not reach our goal of $750, as a school we were able to raise $414.28 for this worthy cause.  The top 5 donating classrooms who will be receiving and ice pop party for their work are listed below.  Mahalo again everyone!!!!

Thurs. May 3            Chaperone Training in PCNC corner of front office from 8am – 8:30am

Fri. May 4                   Book Fair in the library open for sales after school. Cash, credit & debit accepted; monies help buy books & resources for the school.

Battleship Missouri Memorial's Amateur Radio Club seeks new members to run KH6BB, the radio compartment on the main deck of the Mighty Mo.  Those interested are welcome to attend an open house from 9am - noon April 29 (participants must already have access onto Ford Island) call 808-455-1600 ext. 224

Lemonade Day throughout IPC is May 19 but register and go to workshops now to prepare. Open to grades 1st - 8th this program teaches how to build your own business. Workshops for kids to attend are at Kalakaua Community Center from 5:30pm - 7pm May 2 is Marketing Workshop and May 9 is Build a Stand 

Fri. April 27 .    Backyard Music at Mililani Shopping Center from 5pm - 7pm. Na Maka O Pu'uwai Aloha will take the stage at 5pm, followed by Simple Souls at 6.  Attendees are welcome to bring beach chairs and blankets. Purchase food from 1 of the many restaurants in the shopping center, pick up fresh produce from the Farm Fresh Fridays Farmers Market.

Sat. April 28 .    Spam Jam Festival in Waikiki from 4pm - 10pm. Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki shut down for vehicles. Instead filled with many food booths and entertainment. 

Sat. April 28 .    Mililani Public Library screens Star Wars: The Last Jedi (PG13) from 1:30 - 4:30pm. Call 808-627-7470

Sat. April 28     25th Anniversary Celebration and Spring Fest from 11am – 2pm at Kapolei Shopping Center (590 Farrington Hwy) Free activities and live entertainment will be part of this festival at the shopping center. Kids can play carnival games to win prizes, jump in bouncers, enter prize drawings and listen to live performances. Moana-inspired Polynesian Princess and Warrior will appear for photos and you can capture a family picture in the photo booth. Sat. April 28 .        Ellison Onizuka day of Exploration at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall from 9m - 3pm.  This is Hawaii's Largest STEM event and it is free and open to the public.  Family fun and over 44 hands on science exploration stations brought to you by the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America & hundreds of volunteers. 
STEM: Science   Technology   Engineering   Math.  Workshops: registration opened March 9, 2018; limit—two workshops per

Sun. April 29     “I Love Kailua” Town Party from 11am – 4pm on Kailua Road between Ku’ulei Road and Hahani Street. You don't have to be from the Windward side to join the 26th annual “I Love Kailua” Town Party. If you're still mourning the closing of Agnes Portuguese Bake Shop, the favorite Kailua malassada spot will have a booth along with Grylt, Nico's Kailua, Waimānalo Country Farm and 13 other food vendors. Shop for locally made arts and crafts, receive a free health screening from Castle Medical Center and visit the new "Environmental Garden" area with tips on building a home-hydroponics system and plant care advice for home gardens. For kids: A keiki fun zone and plenty of room to roam. Funds raised at the town party will be used to beautify Kailua and other Windward neighborhoodsLKOC.org
