Jump Rope for Heart

Our annual Jump Rope for Heart Day will be Wednesday, February 7 at the Gym.  We are asking that our students donate at least $1. to the American Heart Association. Students should wear clothes and shoes to jump rope and can bring water bottles if they wish. Schedule is as follows
8:00 – 8:30           5th Grade
8:30 – 9:00           Kindergarten
9:00 – 9:30           1st Grade and Pre School
9:30 – 9:45           Regular Recess for all grade levels
10:00 – 10:30       2nd Grade
10:30 – 11:00       3rd Grade
11:00 – 11:30       4th Grade

Mon. Feb. 5              Chaperone Training in PCNC corner of front office from 8am – 8:30am

Tues. Feb. 6              ½ 4th grade Field trip to Kahuku Point Bay restoration (C2, C4, O106, ½ C1)

Wed. Feb. 7               Jump Rope 4 Heart – wear clothes and shoes to jump rope in and donate $1.
                                    Buddy Pictures afterschool by A Building. $1. Per person in picture, for yearbook

Thurs. Feb. 8                        Complex Basketball event at Leilehua for students on the team
                                    ½ 4th grade Field trip to Kahuku Point Bay restoration (O201, O202,  ½ C1)
                                    PTO General Membership Meeting and Luau at 1pm in Q207
                                    Eat great food, vote on bylaw changes, learn about volunteer opportunities

Fri. Feb. 9                  5th Grade field trip to Pearl City Urban Garden

Kona Ice truck on campus after school – cash or card to pay for shave ice

Feb 2 & 3 .    Punahou Carnival from 11am - 11pm, admission is FREE.  Enjoy fresh malasadas, mango chutney, kiddie games, EK Fernandez rides, white elephant treasures, live musical entertainment.  1601 Punahou Streetpunahou.edu/carnival

Sat. Feb. 3 .    Clean Water Kalihi Environmental Fair from 11am - 4pm at Kaewai Elementary School. Enjoy Keiki crafts and activities, street chalk art and stencils, gardening workshops, movie viewing, touch-a-truck, food booths and more.  clearwaterhonolulu.com

Sat. Feb. 3   Hawaiʻi's Plantation Village New Year Celebration 10am – 2pm. Free admission and small price for all day keiki game passVisit Hawaiʻi's Plantation Village for free and celebrate the Year of the Dog this weekend. Get there early to catch a lion dance at 10 a.m., take photos of your ʻohana in traditional Korean clothes and bring Fido for a pet blessing by a real Shinto priest. There will also be Korean artists and games, crafts and food for sale including hot dogs, musubi, noodles and shave ice as well as free ethnic food tastings. Sun. Feb. 4 .    Chinese New Year Celebration at Pearlridge Center. Welcome the Year of the Dog with performances by Wah Ngai Lion Dance association at 10am at Downtown Center Court. The festivities will make their way to Uptown Center Court at noon. Call 203-2366 or visit pearlridgeonlinecom

Mon. Feb. 5 .    Mililani Public Library offers a free workshop for adults who would like to learn how to use the Mango Languages app from 5:30 to 7 pm.  Adult Brain Health: learn a language on the Go.  In person pre registration is required. call 627-7470

Fri. Feb. 9 .    Wahiawa Botanical Garden  9am - noon Learn how to make a Ti leaf lei. Lei will be placed on graves at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on Memorial Day. Pre-registration is required. Call 522-7066

Fri. Feb. 9 .    Family Fun Fitness Day for the whole family at Kalakaua Community Center from 4pm - 6:30pm.  Join IPC for an afternoon of fun, interactive games, drills and demonstrations the entire family will enjoy. Learn about our sports and fitness programs available to you and your family throughout the year -- all FREE.  Check out and take part in: basketball, Hopscotch, Hula Hoop, Jump Rope, Soccer, Baseball drills. Jumping Jacks contest - How many can you do in 30 seconds? Bring your bikes and safety gear and test your skills at the Bike Rodeo. Bring 10 canned food items to help Hawaii's hungry and receive a ticket for a prize drawing. Dance performances, Zumba and kick-boxing demos and more.
