12/7 - 12/15

Hour of Code Family Event is today December 7 from 2:30 - 3:30
After school you can register outside the library.  We will be selling bags of popcorn for 50 cents.
At 2:30 several stations outside the library open and also several in the library.  We ask parents to participate with your children at each station.  Everyone can learn coding and the activities are set up to encourage you to complete the task with your child.

December 4-8 students in every grade level joined the nation and did one hour of computer programming at school.  We invite you to go beyond this one hour & encourage your child to log on to code.org to do more coding.
Why coding?  Coding is the language computers speak and is essential in our world today.  Computer programming is being added to graduation requirements at many high schools and businesses are seeking college graduates with computer programming degrees.
