Sat. April 29     Ho'ala School Rummage Sale from 9am - 1pm. 1067 California Avenue in Wahiawa across from district park. Food and drinks and Mothers Day Gifts and more.

Sat. April 29     Ellison Onizuka Day of Exploration (formerly Makahiki) Blaisdell Exhibition Hall from 9am - 3pm. FREE.  Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America host a STEM event featuring activities including building electric motors, making slime, dissecting heats and brains, investigating fossils and more. 595-0857

sat. April 29     Waikiki SPAM Jam from 4pm - 10pm.  Main stretch of Waikiki for FREE. Sample more than 30 culinary creations celebrating SPAM. Plus watch live cooking demos, take photos at a booth, but SPAM and more.  spamjamhawaii.com

Mon. May 1     May Lei Day celebration from 9am - 5:30pm in Kapi'olani Park. Free and open to the public. Main stage entertainment Hawaiian Steel Guitar Concert 10am - 3pm.. Lei Contest exhibit 1 - 5:30. www.honoluluparks.com

Fri. May 5     Wahiawa Botanical Garden will teach you to make ti leaf lei from 9am - noon.  Completed lei will be placed on grave sites at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific for Memorial Day. Pre-registration required. Call 522-7066

Sat. May 6     Pineapple Festival at Wahiawa District Park from 10am - 4pm.  Parade goes up California Ave. starts at Ka'ala Elementary at 9am and ends at park by 10.  Country Store, vendors, food, handcrafters, entertainment, keiki activities, T shirts.  wahiawahistoricalsoc.com

Mon. May 8     Wahiawa Botanical Garden offers Garden World Tour for keiki and their parents from 10am - 11am.  This free tour highlights plants from Asia. Other activities include a nature walk, crafts and more. Bring walking shoes, insect repellent, rain gear and drinking water. Pre-registration is required, call 522-7066
