Parking lot in front of the school is reserved for staff until after 8:15. This will be enforced starting March 6, Someone will be checking before school that every car entering the lot has staff parking placard on dashboard. Thank you for your cooperation in allowing our staff to easily park and get to class on time to teach. 

PTO Color Run has only 8 more days to collect pledge envelopes.  So far over $4000 has been raised so we are on track (with your help) to reach 10,000 by March 10. Make sure T shirt size is on pledge form.  Online pledges and adult T shirts can be ordered at www.dkiesmyfunrun.com 

**NEW**  Online meal payments and reminders are now available!  Visit School Cafe (https://www.schoolcafe.com/initial) to register your child(ren).
Please see the top of your child's most recent report card for their student ID number.  Set up automated payments and reminders!   Note there is a 5% convenience fee.

Mon. March 6     Buddy Pictures after school behind the cafeteria after school - $1.00 for each person in the picture. Guaranteed to be in yearbook

Tues. March 7     2nd Grade field trip to Hawaii State Art Museum for B2, B3, B4

Wed. March 8     Wake Up Wednesday 7:15am - 7:45am in the covered playcourt. Bring your family to school early to move to the music and exercise before school starts.

Thurs. March 9     Chaperone Training in PCNC corner of main office from 1:30pm - 2:00pm

Fri. March 10     Leilehua Complex Fitness Day - field trip for 5th grade to Leilehua High

2nd Grade field trip to Hawaii State Art Museum for B1, O101, O102

Last day to turn in pledge envelope for Color Fun Run

Community Events

March 3     Ti Leaf Lei Making at Wahiawa Botanical garden from 9am - noon. FREE. learn how to make a ti leaf lei and help reach the city's goal of 5000 ti leaf lei to place on graves at Punchbowl Cemetery for Memorial Day. Pre-registration required at (808) 522-7066

March 3     First Friday at Hawaii State Art Museum from 6pm - 9pm for FREE. The U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific performs while the library's exhibits stay open late for First Friday. (808) 586-9959

March 3, 4, 5     Waialua Carnival at Waialua High School.  Fri. 6 - 10pm, Sat and Sun. from noon - 6pm.  Enjoy E.K.Fernandez rides, games, food, live entertainment and much more. Al proceeds benefit the school. Admission is free, with scrips available for purchase.  waialuacarnival.org

March 4      Wahiawa Community Fun Fair at Ka'ala Elementary School Field at 130 California Ave.  Join alohacare and the community organizations of Wahiawa as we celebrate health and wellness. Bring the whole family to this fun and free event.  Live entertainment, food trucks, face painting, interactive games, xtreme fun rides, sports clinic, scholastic book fair and community resources. jwww.alohacare.org

March 4     Hawaiian Hanafuda (a Japanese card game) Learn and Play at the Mililani Public Library from 10:30am - noon for free. Grow your understanding of Hawaiian culture and endemic and indigenous plants while learning and playing Hanafuda. Pre-registration in person required. (808) 627-7470

March 4     Friends of Hanauma Bay Quarterly Cleanup from 8:30am - 10:30am. Tools, gloves, trash bags and snacks provided. friendsofhanaumabay.org

March 5     Sea Life Park Keiki Sunday from 10am - 2pm. 2 children under age 12 are free with paying adult. Sea Life Park hosts a day dedicated to dolphins with activities, presentations, meet and greet, games and more. sealifeparkhawaii.com

March 11     Kolekole 10 K Run starts at Leader's Field on Schofield. Registration is $45.00 and T shirt size is not guaranteed. Open to all military ID card holders and sponsored guests.  Runners, walkers, strollers and youth participants are welcome. Children not in a stroller must register to participate.
