Spring Break all next week. School returns Tuesday, March 28

Friday, March 17th is the LAST DAY to preorder your yearbook!  Order now and save some money.  A limited number of soft copy yearbooks will be available for purchase when the preordered books arrive.  They will be $25 (instead of the $20 preorder price) and available on a first serve basis.

Fri. March 17     Super Eagle Assembly 8:30 – 9:30 in covered Playcourt
                            
Once again, the DKIES Drama Group will be putting on a pair of One-Act Plays on Friday, March 17. Come see our outstanding casts perform in "Nellie's Fishy Fate" and "The Cell".  Audience can get signed in and seated 4:45 - 5. Then plays from 5 to 5:40.  Come support our students that have worked so hard at rehearsals for their big moment on stage to shine. Brief break after the plays to stretch, reset and buy snacks. Snack sale is fundraiser for 5th grade end of year event. Then Let’s all play Bingo.  Fabulous prizes available and there is no cost to play.

Thurs. March 30     Book Swap and Jamba Juice in the cafeteria 2:00 - 2:30 
                 $5.00 for delicious smoothie flavors Strawberry Whirl or Orange Dream. 
                 Book Swap - bring a book from your home book shelf and swap for another

                3rd Grade Field Trip to Polynesian Cultural Center

Fri. March 31     Kindergarten Field Trip to Hawaii Theater for Youth

March 21     EFMP Bowling during Spring Break from 1:00pm - 2:30pm at Fort Shafter Bowling Alley.  There will be $2.25 per game per person fee. Click on 'calendar' to make sure we have enough lanes, please RSVP in the 'comments' section with # of participating family members, EFM name and date of birth

March 24     Spring Fling Carnival at Helemano Community Center at 4pm.  Game booths and prizes, face painting, inflatable slides, Obstacle Course, keiki id's. Complimentary popcorn, cotton candy and hot dogs (while supplies last)

The first Ellison Onizuka Day of Exploration will be held April 29, 2017 at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.  Free and open to the public (you will have to pay for parking), the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America, has organized a day of STEM workshops, displays, robotics, interactive activities, demonstrations, food, games, opportunity to learn more about Scouting, competitions and a not to be missed sciencepresentation/demonstrations by Jake, a Wizard IV.  On line registration

Please note that all youth who are in grade 6 and below MUST be accompanied by an adult who is registered for the same workshop. A parent may accompany up to 2 youth, and den leaders or teachers may accompany up to 5 youth. The youth and adult must all be registered for the same workshop in the same time period.
